I had never crossed the threshold of a house of prayer before

“I had never crossed the threshold of a house of prayer before, but now I attend the worship services of the local church.”

You never know what God may use to humble your way through the doors of a church, but He is faithful to show us the love and compassion that comes from within. As in the story below, we have seen over and over again how God has used the men and women of the churches to reach out to those in need.

It has become even more important as the days grow colder, to open up doors and warm the hearts of those who need to hear the Gospel message.

So thankful for those who continually share His message!

This is Olena (in the photo – a woman in the purple colour knitted cap). She lives in Izyum. Olena continues,

“At the beginning of the war, a shell hit my house; it flew through the house, hit the wall and exploded. At that time, my husband and I were in the outdoor kitchen, and we miraculously survived. Since then, we now stay in that place. Until now, we have no idea how we will heat it. There is no gas in the outdoor kitchen, and it was impossible for us to store up firewood for the winter. I received support from the Baptists in Izyum, who have been helping us on a daily basis since the time of de-occupation. I had never crossed the threshold of a house of prayer before, but now I attend the worship services of the local church.”

In the photo, a girl, named Nina – a volunteer – is sharing about how one can find salvation through Jesus Christ, according to His Gospel.
